The mission of the Advanced Liturgy Foundation is to provide ideas, information, resources, training and support services to help achieve FULL, CONSCIOUS, ACTIVE participation in the liturgy and
life. After the aggiornemento (changing of the books) envisioned by Pope John XXIII, the real task of liturgical renewal began. That task is reforming the hearts of the faithful to achieve the participation called for
in the Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy. We have barely begun that process, which will demand a whole new understanding of liturgy and life. The Advanced Liturgy Foundation sponsors a broad range of
conceptual research and development activities to further the overall understanding of liturgy within the framework of spiritual growth. The primary thrust of this work is to explore and develop a greater understanding
of how to achieve full, active, conscious participation. The conceptual basis of much of this work is anthropological and phenomenological in nature.(
See Liturgical Anthropology). The basic framework for this site includes: AUTHORITATIVE & ECCLESIASTICAL RESOURCES
